The Business Development Manager is an individual who can innovate, collaborate, and work diligently while enjoying the process. The ideal candidate should be capable of working both independently and as part of a team, as required. The Business Development Manager is responsible for presenting digital marketing strategies, ensuring business growth, and retaining clients for future engagements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various digital platforms and possess connections and relationships that can be leveraged to acquire new business opportunities. This role requires a strong relationship-builder who can confidently deliver presentations and lead new business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire new business and onboard clients.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for customer acquisition and market share enhancement.
- Develop strategic action plans to increase customer acquisition and retention.
- Track key performance indicators to identify emerging trends and drive revenue growth.
- Generate revenue through business analysis and market assessment.
- Conduct business planning, forecasting, and analysis to evaluate revenue potential in business opportunities.
- Conceptualize innovative ideas for revenue enhancement, retention, and digital penetration.
- Introduce innovative, out-of-the-box products in collaboration with strategic partners and vendors.
- Develop a business plan and sales strategy to achieve company sales goals and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, internal teams, and stakeholders to support strategic objectives.
- Maintain long-term relationships with customers, understand their business needs, and identify relevant sales opportunities within the existing portfolio.
- Prepare and present revenue and sales growth reports to senior management, including formal business proposals, presentations, and price comparisons.
- Manage key accounts to acquire new business, promote products and services, and achieve revenue targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess many or most of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or Marketing (preferred).
- Highly organized, efficient, and self-motivated.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- A well-established professional network and a strong industry reputation (preferred).
- Experience in telecom or software product development (preferred).
- Proven track record in developing new business.
- Experience working with marketing and communication agencies.
- Knowledge of Mobile Value Added Services (VAS) and digital platforms.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
- Experience 4-5 years
