We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to manage and optimize Linux-based systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux administration, patching, database management (MySQL, MariaDB), virtualization technologies (VMware), application monitoring, log analysis, SLA management, client handling, web server management (Apache/Nginx), and WordPress administration. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Linux Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Patching & Updates: Apply security patches, updates, and kernel upgrades to keep the infrastructure secure and compliant.
• Database Management: Administer and optimize MySQL and MariaDB databases, performing upgrades, backups, and recovery.
• Virtualization (VMware): Manage and maintain VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Application Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring tools to track system and application performance, ensuring high availability.
• Log Analysis & Reporting: Analyze system and application logs, generate reports, and provide insights for proactive issue resolution.
• SLA Management: Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), tracking system uptime and performance.
• Client Handling: Collaborate with clients, address technical issues, and provide expert support and recommendations.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, conduct system hardening, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible to improve system efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Web Server Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain Apache/Nginx web servers for hosting applications and websites.
• WordPress Administration: Install, update, and manage WordPress instances, ensuring security and optimal performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Linux distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Debian.
• Strong knowledge of patching methodologies, system updates, and package management (YUM, APT, etc.).
• Expertise in MySQL and MariaDB administration, including backup, replication, and performance tuning.
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
• Strong skills in log analysis, troubleshooting, and generating technical reports.
• Experience with SLA enforcement and managing system availability metrics.
• Excellent client handling skills, with the ability to communicate technical solutions effectively.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Experience in web server administration (Apache/Nginx) and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of WordPress configuration, security, and performance tuning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or similar.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and high availability configurations.
• Knowledge of cloud-based Linux environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and security hardening.
